Dearest Friend,

When my oldest daughter was about 4 years old, she was a collector of snails. Not only did she collect them, but she lovingly created an indoor habitat for them, named each one, and defended them when visitors would call them "gross".

"THEY'RE NOT GROSS!" she would cry, "THEY'RE GENTLE!"

I watched this unlikely passion for the tiny alien-like creatures in awe. Where others saw a trail of mucous and a garden-gobbling pest, my daughter saw gentle companions.

It taught my bickering and worrying heart something important that I hold dear to this day - that beauty and joy can be found close by if we are willing to have the eyes for it - and most often in the simple, the gentle, and the very common.

It is this very lesson that inspires the product for Dearest Friend Paperie. I strive to create images which celebrate simplicity and whimsy - like the love for a hot cup of coffee, or the simple joy of finding pockets in an already cute skirt. Even the thoughtful act of gifting someone a tangible, beautiful card in itself - is a simple pleasure which can have a significant impact.

Though the products are made with a light heart, it is the quality of the product I take very seriously. Each card starts with eco-friendly wove papers, is printed with archival inks, and then paired with a stylish European inspired envelope. To top it off, the card is packed in a flat, rigid (also eco-friendly) mailer so that your product arrives in pristine condition. I think the final result is one you'd be delighted to gift to your dearest friend.
